Dear Ones:

    Just a few lines to let you know I am getting along fine, hope to start gaining weight instead of continually losing it. Am still showing blood but hope it will stop soon. Am taking iron pills to build up the blood I have lost and am still losing but as soon as I can eat regular food I hope to be all O.K.

    Aunt Louise has helped me an awful lot in fact she is working all the time which I don't want her to do but she does it anyway. We all went to Long Beach last Friday to se the Gold Star Mothers homes they have there and they are absolutely beautiful. A four room apt. with brand new gas range and refrigerator, also brand new T.V., all G.E. products. 2 bedrooms with beds, big chiferobe and living room with big davenport + chair, T.V. and even the floor is carpeted. A beautiful kitchen set with table and 4 chairs--kitchen even has cabinets and the refrigerator has a pretty big freezing compartment all for $39.50 a month and all utilities are free. They have a big recreation room + sewing room, automatic washers + dryers, a library and all the latest magazines too. She put in an application but has to wait until they look up her credentials.
