Dear Ones:

Just couldn't get you + your family out of my mind so I though I just better sit down + write a few lines. Hearing  about Peanut's death upset me terribly because you know how much we all thought of him. Just couldn't have loved him more if he had really belonged to our family, even Larry was quite upset on hearing it too. I must have had a premonition because Sat. night I couldn't go to bed I kept hearing noises as though someone was bumping into our house. I would go to the front door and then light the back porch light + look out there but still I couldn't see anything not even a cat which we always seem to have camping on our front porch or on our patio. I know I didn't go to bed until after one o'clock and then I couldn't get to sleep so got up and drank some wine in water and finally went to sleep. I felt as though something was going to happen but I was afraid to think about what.

How was your trip to Greenwich (is that spelled right) and have you decided to buy a house there and have you sold yours in Wis. yet. Are the kiddies thrilled about moving or would they rather stay where they are, of course children make friends real quick no matter where they go so they will probably like it there too. Charlotte said they were just as good as could be when she had them when your newest son was born and she couldn't tell me enough how good and wonderful he was.

Tell the kiddies I am going to start from the first one's birthday in Jan. until I get to Chgo maybe in Sept. and give them all their little birthday remembrance. We are all pretty good here and hope you are all too. Tell Les I just didn't get his card as dad has a fit when I stop + look at cards tell him to forgive me

Love

Mom
