Dear Ones:

Couldn't send you a little birthday wish without writing a few lines too. How are you all after your severe winter. Hope all are well and are now enjoying some nice warm spring weather.

Are you still going to try and sell your house or have you given up on it. It seems like every now and then someone rings our door bell and wants to know if we want to sell our house. Of course we don't, but it we did I wonder if they would really be so interested in buying it.

Did you know that Aunt Hilda has been sick and in the hospital for tests as to her heart conditions, seems like she has had palpitation real bad and the doctor told her she would have to take it easy so they are moving into a 3 room apt. expect to be in their new home by the 16th. Her new address is 6121 Higgins Ave, Chgo 30--IL.

I know I can't do the things I used to do either as soon as I stand on my feet too long I get to feeling sick to my stomach and have to lie down for a while. I think it's because I'm still losing blood all the time and although I still take iron pills it probably doesn't make up for what I lose. Of course at my age 74 we can't expect too much.

Dad doesn't do too much in the yard anymore either, works jigsaw puzzles almost all day but is feeling pretty good except for his shortness of breath.

Everything here is commencing to look beautiful, we have some gorgeous roses in bloom that are as big as a lunch plate and Dad sure is proud of them--I wish you could see them. Our peach trees and our fig tree--our blackberry vines and our guava tree are all full of blossoms and if the birds leave them alone we should have a lot peaches--figs--blackberries and guavas and even our midget orange tree has quite a few blossoms on it too. Tell your oldest son (he liked the guavas I think) to be sure and see that you all come out here this year so he can help us eat all the stuff.

Well darling its past the time I should call dad so I'll have to say toodle oo for now with the best of everything for your birthday

Love and God's Blessing on you all

I am as ever

your loving and devoted

Mom

Tell Les and the kiddies I love and miss them more every day. Hope with the Grace of God and if it be His Holy Will that we will again be able to come to Chgo to visit in Sept.

Love to all
