The post on tngenbweb.org by Jeffrey Gatlin goes into detail on the military career of Robert H. Warmath, but in brief he enlisted 5-15-1861 at age 25 in the 4th Infantry Regiment of the Provisional Army of TN (State Troops), fought at Murfreesboro, was furloughed 4-4-1862, and then re-enlisted 4-15-1864 with his 18-year-old brother, Thomas in Company I, 7th TN Cavalry.
