11-26-1924 article in Daily Southtown in reference to play put on by the Carthaginian's Club on Nov. 17 & 18 says, "specialties were provided by...Catherine Pfleger accompanied by Clement Slowy...and Marie Pfleger..." Between the actual performance and publication of the announcement, Catherine's grandma Pfleger died on Nov. 24.

In 1929 she was named godmother of her niece, Dolores Wachdorf. The godfather was her cousin George Pfleger (Henry's son).

1930 census, Chicago, 7429 Harvard: She's still in grandparents John and Catherine Bornhofen's house (Lou rents for $40/month) but Joe has moved out (yet a 1951 reference in the Southtown Economist refers to him as Joseph Bornhofen of 7429 Harvard). Lou, age 47, married at 22, lists his profession as accountant for a woolen goods manufacturer. Gertrude, married at 19; Marie C., 21, profession: teacher--dramatic arts; Catherine: 17, Leona A: 13.

1932 letters written by her aunt Irene Pfleger Wachdorf mention Catherine's sister Leona coming home from the hospital in Sept. 1932, and then on Nov. 4, 1932, "Catherine is still pretty bad although she does have a pretty good day once in a while." Nov. 17: "Say a prayer for Catherine as she is very sick, had the priest and doctor at 4 o'clock Saturday morning."

April 7, 1943 (from the Daily Southtown, with misspelling of Pfleger left in place): Three Sisters Become Mothers Within 11 Days: Within 11 days the three daughters of Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Psleger, 7429 Harvard ave., each gave birth to a baby girl. The Pslegers now have 12 grandchildren. On St. Patrick's day, March 17, an eight-and-one-half pound girl was born to Mrs. Lawrence Seaman of the Harvard ave. address in the St. Bernard hospital. The baby had been named *** ***. Friday, March 26, also in St. Bernard hospital, *** ***, weighing eight pounds, 12 1/2 ounces, was born to Mrs. Bernard Traut, 9341 Damen ave. Two days later, Sunday, March 28, little *** Brennen was born to Mrs. John Brennen, 245 W. Marquette rd. in the Michael Reese hospital. The baby weighed seven pounds 15 ounces at birth.

3-20-1960 Catherine is listed as the informant on the death certificate for her father. Her address is given as 100 Talcott Rd (the same address for her father).
