McCormick of 346 W. 58th St., age 21, single, daughter of Charles McCormick from Boston, Mass. and Mary Drouin from France, religion Catholic (Note: license 677405 bride a convert, banns dispensed). Witnesses = Andrew P. Miller and Coletta Wachdorf. Priest = Edward T. Mallon C.S.P.

At some point around 1926 or 1927 Lettie and Harvey took in Blanche Wachdorf, the seven-year-old daughter of Lettie's brother Joe (who died in 1928 of organic heart disease, having been in the hospital more than half a year). According to one of Blanche's daughters, they kept Blanche less than a year, and then she joined her sisters in the Angel Guardian Orphanage.

1930 census Chicago Dist 653 p. 27, 5800 Princeton (renting an apartment $25, Patrick & Francis King in the other flat):

Myers, Harvey B., age 37 married at 27, born in NY of parents born in NY, collector for a furniture company.

Wife Coletta, 34, married at 24. No occupation listed

(Note: their neighbor at 5802 Princeton is Arthur Plaehn and wife Eva, plus family, including daughter Charlotte. Charlotte will eventually marry Jerry Wachdorf, one of the sons of Kitty's brother, Edward.

Her niece's address book in the 1970s included Mrs. H. Myers, 6517 S. Hermitage, Chicago.
